TeichertTeichert

Teichert has been in business since 1887, and its two operating companies are Teichert Construction and Teichert Materials.

With construction district offices and construction materials plants located throughout Northern and Central California, Teichert and its family of over 2,000 employees has grown with the region over the past century.

Teichert Construction holds California State Contractor’s License #8, the oldest active contractor’s license in California.  Teichert is a general contractor that builds the infrastructure people use each day, including hundreds of thousands of miles of roads and freeways, commercial and industrial site work, parks, airports, and more.

Teichert Materials is one of the largest construction materials providers in the country and produces rock, sand, gravel, asphaltic concrete, ready mixed concrete, and precast concrete structures.  Each year, Teichert strives to acquire and permit new geological reserves, and the company works closely with neighbors, environmental experts, and government officials to design, reclaim, and replenish the environment in which we work.

Teichert’s Stonebridge Properties allows the company to complete the cycle of permitting, aggregate mining, reclamation, and ultimately, land development.  Teichert Foundation is the charitable arm of the company and grants funds to local organizations twice per year.

Both Teichert and the Teichert Foundation have supported Sacramento Valley Conservancy since 1999 when the Foundation funded SVC's 21st Century Open Space Vision for the Sacramento Region.  Through the years, several grants and corporate support have assisted in growing SVC's YES (Youth Education and Stewardship) program, including expanding opportunities for day and overnight trips for youth groups and school classrooms.

Teichert believes open spaces provide welcome relief and rest from the urban environment, local outdoor recreation, wildlife habitat, local food, and provide outdoor classrooms to teach our youth (and adults) how to value and care for our natural resources.  We believe strongly in giving back to the communities in which we do business and value our long-time partnership with Sacramento Valley Conservancy.
